One of the best perks of this card is that you'll receive a Main Cabin round-trip companion certificate each year upon renewal of your card. This certificate has been recently enhanced, where not only can it be redeemed for flights within the continental U.S., but you can now also fly to Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America with the certificate. Other money-saving benefits include the up to $390 in statement credits and 15% off when using miles to book Award Travel on Delta flights (discount is not available on partner-operated flights or taxes and fees). The card also offers additional incentives for those interested in elite status. This is definitely a card to consider for those who frequently fly on Delta.

Note: there are new card family rules on the terms of this application. You may not be eligible to receive the welcome offer on the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum card if you have or have had the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve card. Read full terms. Lastly, Amex says it will let you know if you are not eligible before applying.
